Live journal is giving me issues with the LJ-cuts things, so without further ado, my long awaited review of The Curse of Chalion and The Paladin of Souls:
(Warning: Spoilers Abound)
Reviews....Collapse )

I just realized I've been with Mike for a quarter of my life, which is weird to think about. I should probably get used to it, though, because we got engaged last Saturday.

There is early voting on campus Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the HYPER building starting at 11 am. I was just at a meeting for Obama poll workers and they are expecting hour long lines at some precincts in Bloomington on election day, so you might want to vote now rather than wait in line later.

Flist purge

I just purged my friends list of journals that I believe are inactive. If you didn't want to be taken off, let me know.

The John Edwards Campaign is looking for summer interns. No pay, but free housing and college credit available. Also, you'd then be prefered when they start hiring for the general campaign ;).

So, if anyone is an Edwards supporter, this would be a great opportunity.

Edit: I guess it makes more sense just to copy and paste the text of the email I was sent.

Time Frame:

Internship with John Edwards Presidential Campaign, Summer through Fall Semester 2007, New Hampshire

Interns will be involved in all aspects of our primary campaign, including organizing, political field work, event building, volunteer outreach, and direct voter contact.  This will be a great opportunity for anyone looking to get involved in campaigns or wanting to experience the primary process.

Interns will NOT receive a stipend or any other pay, but we will offer college credit, as well as the option of free supporter housing.

Permanent Job Placement Opportunities:

We are looking for people who are passionate about working for John Edwards; prepared to work long, hard hours; and have a willingness to listen and learn.  Interns also will be given preference in any fall/winter New Hampshire hiring, and will put themselves into an advantageous position for

2008 General Election hiring, due to the experience they gain during their internship.

If anyone is interested comment and I'll email you the application.

Andreas Katsulas, who played G'Kar on Babylon 5 and who was an amazing actor apparently died recently. I would never have known if I hadn't been randomly browsing Livejournal and seen it. He was amazing. I'll miss him.
